Canadian Tour Returns to Saskatoon for the Saskatchewan Open

The Canadian Tour returns to Saskatoon for a second year at Dakota Dunes, which was voted Canada's best new course in 2005. Play in the 72 hole Championship gets under way on July 9th.

"This year's schedule works a lot better for the Saskatchewan Open," Canadian Tour deputy executive director Dan Halldorson said Tuesday during a media conference. "It's very convenient for the players and very convenient for the tour. Last year was great. We're glad to be back."

The strong field includes 142 of the Canadian Tour's strongest players including last week's TELUS Edmonton Open winner David Hahn.

Dakota Dunes club professional Mike Jacobs said "Their golf last year was phenomenal. People were really amazed and surprised by the amount of talent on the Canadian Tour. They didn't realize these guys were that good."
