Canadian Tour's TELUS Edmonton Open Tees Off Thursday

TELUS Edmonton Open begins this week and John Ellis has returned to defend his title at Glendale Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta. The last three TELUS Opens hosted by the Glendale Course have all ended in a sudden death playoff.

Last weeks winner, Graham DeLaet is also in the field and should be considered among the favourites to win. However, the defending champ is also one to watch as he catapaulted last years win into a 2008 Rolex Player of the Year award with three wins that year.

Stuart Anderson is a local player to watch as he has be consistently good this year with six top 20's in all seven events he has played.

Play begins Thursday and the top five on the Order of Merit at the conclusion of play earn exemptions into the Nationwide Tour’s Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic.
