ACTON, ON (April 21, 2009) – Callaway Golf Canada and the Canadian Professional Golfers’ Association (Canadian PGA) launched the 2009 edition of a unique partnership that offers golfers a free 30-minute lesson with the purchase of any driver or set of irons from Callaway Golf's 2009 product line.
World-renowned golf instructor David Leadbetter is the spokesperson for the Callaway Golf/CPGA Lesson program, which provides consumers with a certificate redeemable for a 30-minute lesson from a registered and accredited Canadian PGA Professional.
"The importance of instruction from a certified golf professional for players of all abilities cannot be overstated," commented Leadbetter. "The Callaway/CPGA Lesson program was created to offer tangible benefits to help every golfer's game."
To receive a lesson certificate, golfers must purchase their Callaway product between May 1 and July 31, 2009. Certificates will be redeemable until December 15, 2009.
"We have an unwavering commitment to innovation - whether it's product development or consumer benefits - and as we enter into the second year of our partnership with the Canadian PGA lesson program, I am very excited that once again in 2009 we will help every golfer become a better golfer,” said Callaway Golf Canada Managing Director Scott Reid. "Everyone needs some help with their swing from time to time and this is a great way for players of all abilities to help gain that extra edge. We understand the investment golfers make to improve their game, so we also strive to help them become better - and not just through the technological benefits of our clubs and balls, but also after their purchase, through instructional programs like the Callaway/CPGA Lesson Program."
To redeem a lesson certificate, golfers should visit www.mycallaway.ca/freelessons and follow a simple four-step process that allows them to register their certificate and clubs, and select a participating Canadian PGA Professional to take their lesson with.
The 2009 Canadian PGA lesson program will be available at all authorized Canadian Callaway Golf retailers.
"We are thrilled to be entering into to the second year of this program with Callaway Golf Canada. We know the expertise that a Canadian PGA Professional can provide on the development of one's game is critically helpful to their success," said Jeff Dykeman, Manager of Business Development, Canadian PGA. "Our partnership with Callaway Golf in this program will provide golfers with both valuable technology in their equipment and the best instruction in golf from a Canadian PGA Professional."
Golfers have the option of redeeming their lesson at the facility where they purchased their clubs or with another participating Canadian PGA instructor.
